After her first album, Swiss flutist Linda Jozefowski is excited to present her new project with amazing musicians at her side. The new album Focus Natural combines modern jazz compositions and African-inspired grooves. Some tracks are also reminiscent of the hard bop sound of the 1960s. As a concept, Focus Natural describes a kind of philosophy or state of mind in which concentration and spontaneity, focus and creativity flow in a completely natural way. Hypnotic melodies, transcendental bass lines and intricate patterns are skilfully woven into organic, earthy grooves. An invitation to dance.

Saxophonist Josh Schofield has been a regular part of Basel’s jazz scene since moving from England (via Amsterdam) in 2018. Now a part of groups such as Kaleidoscope Quartet, Basel Jazz Orchestra and Ensemble infinity he is assembling a band made up of some of his favourite musicians from the city to explore original and slightly less original compositions.

After numerous delightful and impromptu encounters at jazz jam sessions in Zurich, Raphaël Aurand was inspired to assemble a trio with Swiss-based double bassist Gianni Narduzzi and pianist Valentin Melvin. Drawing from a diverse array of influences, spanning from the rhythmic flair of Ahmad Jamal's trio to the profound harmonies of Wayne Shorter, this trio promises to deliver a captivating musical experience. Their repertoire will feature original compositions crafted by all three performers, showcasing their collective creativity and musical prowess.

Das W.S.T.- Trio um Schlagzeuger Timmy Leiser sorgt mit Klassikern der Jazz-Standards für eine lockere Stimmung im Schall und Rauch. Anstatt ihre Songs auf eine schöne Sing- oder Bläser-Stimme auszurichten, bevorzugen sie es den Kontrast zwischen rhythmischen Unisono- Breaks und ausgedehnten freien Soli zu zelebrieren und dabei jeden Moment der Improvisation auszukosten.
